Stepping Grounds is an arts and culture management company founded by Patrick Marín, former dancer with the Nederlands Dans Theater.
Stepping Grounds provides high quality and innovative services within the existing cultural landscape.
Backed by two decades of active involvement in the performing arts, we provide management services to young artists making their way through today’s many challenges, and to established artists who seek freshness and alternatives in management services.
Being artists ourselves, everyone at Stepping Grounds understands the importance of personal involvement, in order to achieve the desired outcome. This, combined with our ability to effectively apply the knowledge we have gained over the years, enables us to facilitate the creative flow for others.
Our large international network provides opportunities for promising young artists and for established artists, as they look to expand beyond previously set limitations.
In western countries it is often forgotten that art has a functional role in our society. The Balinese, famous for their art, do not have a separate word for art: the “artist” is simply known as the “worker”. Likewise, Stepping Grounds strives to provide useful and effective management services, while respecting the artistic vision involved.
